BODY WORLDS

I finally saw BODY WORLDS which has been in SLC forever and unfortunately I procrastinated till the last weekend. The only tickets I could get were for 11:00 p.m. at night. YIKES! I am SO not a night person. But I justified it thinking we'd see it quickly and be home around midnight.

WRONG!!! we waited in a long, smelly, boring, BORING line for 2 hours before they even let us in. By the time I was staring at the dead bodies it was 1 a.m. in the freaking morning! BWAAAAAAAAA

The strange thing about my body worlds experience was not the crosssection of the 300 lbs man with inches of gross discusting fat padding his organs or the fake blond hair hanging from the skull of the acrobatic girl, OR the smokers lungs.

The strange thing was that it was 1 a.m. and I was in a MUSEUM with Grandmas and Babies, toddlers and housemoms. It might have just as well been 1 p.m. except I was pretty grouchy. Usually when your out and about in SLC at 1 a.m. your arn't kicking it with the Grandmas and the infants.

SO I give the exhibit 3 thumbs up. THe bodies were cool and not scary. I'm over being scared of dead bodies. When I was little my dad, the medical school student, had a REAL LIVE humane skull in his room. OKay it wasnt LIVE but it was scary. WE called his study the skull room. I think he got a kick out of it, and was just happy that we were too afraid to come into it so he could study in peace.

I hope you all saw and enjoyed BODY WORLDS 3. If you didn't just get my dad to show you his pet skull. You can actually move the jaw bone. It is pretty cool.

I thought he called it the room of bones and groans. Hmmm. I'll have to ask him.

I didn't think you used the word "freaking".
