In my family we are readers! As children we had to be grounded from books. We slipped them under the covers and read anyhow. We have a strict no reading (and singing) at the table policy. Our Father has HUNDEREDS of books and we've all followed suite and taken to building our own collections. We read all kinds of things: Classics, fantasy, science fiction, etc. We are abibliophobes through and through.
What is an abibliophobe?
Well wiki says it is Noun: Fear of running out of things to read. Our household definition has evolved to mean: Fear of leaving the house with out a book. No one leaves the house with out a book. What if your car broke down and you were stranded? What if your meeting was really boring? Life is so much better with a book in your bag!
Our reading leader Arwen (my 25 year old sister who yes is named from the lord of the rings this was WAY before the movies people) created a book blog that we have all been posting to. It is my month to pick the book and I picked. A tree grow in Brooklyn. Check it out here!

It's true. I am an abibliophobe. All my purses must be able carry at least a paperback and I have two books permanently assigned to my car.
I've just been reading through your blog and I love it. I also always have to have a book in my bag. My dream when I finish my master's is to take a month off and read a book a day. Maybe two.
A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BOOKS!
